One tetraploid form I have grown is dark maroon to purple foliage and can reach 10 to 15 feet tall like giant purple spikes out of the ground. I would have had some photos of it but we had 80 mph winds that knocked it over once it was around 10 feet tall. It seemed to never fully recover this year. I hope to grow it out full next season. It would make an impressive back drop in a tropical display.
