This one and another one less fortunate was stuck to the walk out front with one wing folded in the middle of it. Strange..Have no clue what hapened to it. They allegedly overwinter as adults..maybe just eclosing from some hackberry brush nearby. I will be keeping a lookout for more now. I think their long snout is like their probascis, because it it is used to siphon nectar...Interresting lil things. Here is a close up of that snout> |
