My step-cousin gave us enough flagstone and standstone chunks it took two pick-up loads to move it. We put in a flagstone path along the back of the house, near the pond. We also lined the edge of the pond with stones to better conceal the rim. I still need to do adjustments on that part, but I'd better wait until after we clean it of debris!

I want to have a waterfall in the back left corner again, but I think we'll do some type of interesting water feature with a fountain until fall this year. Next year, I'd like to build up a mound behind the pond and use a liner beneath rocks for a waterfall.

That cool rock behind the pond (with the rounded depression in it) was on our property when we bought the house. For two years it served as the base for our little waterfall. When I moved it again Saturday, I thought it was too interesting to hide beneath a pile for a waterfall and turned it on its edge as a focal point. The stone next to it was one we were just given and I was tickled at how it follows the same angle!
