I was out taking pictures and heard a racket in our split apple tree ... a bunch of chickadees ... so I went over to investigate ... I was under the tree canopy looking up for about 5 minutes trying to figure out what the chickadees were doing ... making noise and hopping around ... until one hopped lower and I looked down and saw this about 2 feet from me ... called the neighbors and took lots of pictures ... then it slowly made its way out of the yard ... this is my boyfriend standing behind it for proportion ...
