WigglyPaw wrote: Duh! Mrs. Bocker had a bunch of babies and we didn't even know the dear was pregnant. She is the BEST mommy chicken ever. I can see that stressed out look in her eyes and she is quite distracted. The babies are getting bigger now, but I have to laugh, they are still nesting underneath her, and they pile under and then she is lifted up in the air teeter tottering on top of them. She teaches them to scratch. To be on the lookout for hawks. Planes. Respect Mr. Bocker. Come when clucked to. Go to Mommy when the other chickens are bullys. My sweet Mrs. Bocker is looking thin and raggedy from the stressors of motherhood. Is this what happened to me? Sheesh!!! Except, I got big and fat and raggedy. LOLOL. Her feathers fell out, and my hair got thin. I got mentally crazed, and I am sure others noticed it, so did she. I couldn't hold a conversation with anyone, as my mind was always on the children, and so is hers! I love the "cluck cluck cluck" noise she makes. Nature is so amazing. sheri |
