In the picture below, emerging leaves on S. campanulata, I'm curious about the very definitive demarcation between cell types going from stem to leaves. In looking at other seedling pictures, the cell differentiation is either blended or not at all. I have also noticed what looks like a sepal on the opposite emerging leaf. The confines of the pot it is in keeps me from photographing from other angles without doing harm.
