I have a rooted Begonia with red hairs up the stems and on the back of the leaf. The leaf is waxy with fine downy white hairs on the front. The leaf is rather large like a Maple leaf. My question is: Can I lay the leaf on its side, make slits across the veins and lay the leaf on potting soil in another pot with the remainder of the rooted leaf in its small pot?

My second question is: What kind of Begonia is this? I've never seen this type before?
