My 4ft leaf has already got up and gone during our heat wave. I never did get help to get a clear pic of the ear and the tape. I really had to work to try and save enough to show that I do still have some ears. I planted only three bulbs in this spot and they multiplied to the point of requiring water several times a day. It was a little cooler and they have bounced back a little, but nothing like they were. Now it's back in the mid to upper 90's. Oh the whimpers of a want-a-be gardener. John
