Here is a photo where the large 'umbrella' type of outdoor laundry hanger is used for an Ipomoea tricolor Blue Star MG trellis with excellent results >looks like a real MG tree(!)..

Looks somewhat like a datura with upward facing flowers...large sturdy beach or table umbrellas can also be used...or a similar structure could be made from wood or pipeing...extra tiers could also be added on top...

The large tub around the base is sunk and has the bottom removed...this type of design frees up ground space and no need to worry about the lower leaves falling off...

I've seen people add hanging baskets and lines from the outer ends of the ribs attached to the ground for a MG maypole(!) effect...
