Yes, I have cut it back pretty hard before. The picture ( if I an ever get it to post) is of the corner of my back yard. I planted a hedge of Hollies 10 of them that wrap around the corner in an arc. They are pretty small right now and can’t be seen in the picture. The last one on the back is right behind the butterfly bush. My plan is to cut it to the ground at the end of fall and try to keep it reasonably small until the Hollies get larger then move it to the other side of the Ornamental Plum. It has been there a very long time and my Dad told me good luck he tried to dig one up and said he never did find the end of the root. I’ll have to try propagating it. I haven’t done much of that. Mostly I either buy a plant or someone gives me a plant.
