I think this used to be grown a lot more than it is now. It's growing on me :-)

A compact plant, it grows well next to the AVs. I has glossy green leaves which are really quite amazing, and slipper-type flowers in white and pinks.

As mentioned in one of the links below, it is one of the parents of many of the mini sinningia hybrids (the other parent being a micro mini like pusilla or concinna).

This photo is of a first or second bloom on a seedling - I didn't think much of it at the time. But the next time it bloomed, I had something like 8-10 flowers and each one was much bigger and a bit frilly - quite a show!
