Won't try to respond to the messages since my last post, but I've skimmed them.

Took the twins to Kindermusik. Got to the OSO office to pick up my music for the oct. 3 concert. Major work is Dvorak "New World" Symphony which I've played before, Copeland's "Appalachian Spring" which I've also played and part of an Ives work which is new to me. But I think the music of Ives is really neat.

The other orchestra doesn't have a concert until late October but is doing Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony which I've never played but know fairly well. Was on a drop-the-needle identification list of repertoire when I took music history.

Also went to bells. They have a lot of work to do to get ready to play on Sept 24. We will play the same piece again on Oct. 7 at the wedding of a gal who played with us for several years. (Now moved out of town). New ringer is finding it difficult, but will be OK in time. Whether she should play next week, I'm not sure. Might ask organist to direct and let me play.

DH arrive home safely from his trip to the Netherlands. Has been in bed for awhile and I should get there soon.

I've spent the evening working on my thread about the Japan trip. I've narrowed the pics down to about 45 and edited them smaller. Am writing text to go with them. With a bit of luck, I'll get it posted tomorrow.
