The ceramic basin must come inside or it will freeze and crack and of course the plants will never make it past the first frost. I have about 30 +/- days before that happens. The Newbie part of me says: Just take some of the water out of the ceramic basin, put the plants and (2) goldfish in a big plastic dishpan ( functional not pretty) bring it into the house and wait until spring. Everything will live just fine. The " that - is - too - easy" part of me says..it won't work like you think it will. So I come to the experts: All of you. I've read the forum and it's clear you all know LOTS !!! more about this than I do, but I'm willing to learn. My goal in the next two years is to put in a 10-20K gallon pond..but until then, I am working on a smaller, much smaller scale. Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions delta This message was edited Sep 2, 2006 7:33 PM |
