Right below a leaf set, you will see a new little stem with bumps on it and that is the flower stem. It will grow and grow and you will see the bumps that exude the sweet sticky sap that attracts the ants, then as it gets longer and all the bumps get farther apart, the flower buds will start growing and spreading apart and then you have little white things that are shaped like tic tacs that are a little curved. LOL So I guess the short answer to your question is, if there are already leaves on the stem, the buds you are seeing are leaf buds. |
