Pacific Northwest Gardening: Squash snafu, 1 by MzWeazelle

Imagine my surprise when I couldn't get through the skin -- %#^* thing isn't even a squash plant, it's a gourd!

So now it would seem I have several fall decorations rather than any kind of meal at all. Any one know if you have to do anything special to a gourd, or does it just dry by itself? I may not get to eat it, but I'm not going to have it rotting in my frontroom, either!
