Yes, porches are great to sit and listen/watch the rain. I bail out of the porch swing when it starts lightning, tho. I don't like being that close to the chains. I get over here on my church pew. I love it anyhow. It was homemade, primitive from an older rural church in our area. In the morning, I call it my hallelujah bench. Hallelujah, I lived to see another day! In the evening it is my Amen pew! Nuff said...
