defoe~Thanks for all the hard work:) Mr. B's love story cracks me up!!! I too, want to see those cute little JaBeTerrier babies when they arrive....sweet little things they will turn out to be...coughcough...You had better keep it mum...what if Mr. B ends up having to pay child support! To keep from that, you will have to have custody of half of his little "miracles". Still cracking up....sorry!

Ernie~ How are things your way?? Did you get your planting done? Tells the Goldens Karen says hello...oh, and Linda too & first! :^)

Someone send me a meatloaf sandwhich...with mustard...mmmmm...haven't had one in so very long. Auntie doesn't eat red meat so we eat less and less of it. I do love a good meatloaf and mmmmmm.... cold meatloaf sandwhich.

Sheila~About the bed making.....that cracked me up...I hear my Auntie in making her bed sometimes saying loudly..,"Stop it! Don't you hurt me! Stop it I tell you!" I thought her little CC was bothering her with the bed making. Well,....I was changing my sheets the other day and my son's...large baby...Duke, decided he wanted to stay on those sheets. He started swatting at my hands, when I dumped him to the other end he chased back at me...little (large) devil! I found myself repeating Auntie's words. She's a bit nicer than I when she says them. That cat figured he could intimidate me like he does her...he did a darn good job of it......We say here, "We reward our pets for their bad behavior"...Mr. Duke likes to jump on his bar stool and paw off anything on the counter. He knows he gets attention and gets a treat. While my DD & DSinL were here he grabbed DSinL's Pepsi and got quite a surprise, that was funny to see. Duke has such personality...he really is quite spoiled. The youngest boy did that. What's that about sending the DGChildren home when they are naughty???? We have this one because...."Mom, I can't take Duke away from his home. He loves it here...what if he gets lost???" Well what if he kills us all in our sleep because we don't reward him??? The darn cat is so big and smart...he actually puts his paws on either side of the door knob and tries to turn it when we shut him out of our room. No opposing thumbs, you know. If he wants to wake me, he'll find anything he can rattle...mostly magazines in the basket beside my bed. He even learned to ring the Christmas bell on the door knob to go out. 2 years later we got that bell out and he still remembered it. It works quite well when he's home alone with Auntie...she knows when he wants out. We moved the bell to the outside so he could ring to come in.
Oh believe me, I did not want him going outside!! He stalked around here and drove us nuts! He would hide and dart as soon as someone opened the door...usually Auntie...he knew. So now I wait up for him to come in....crazy!

Maria~ No wonder you liked Ernie's Goldens! Your's is beautiful too! I love GR, great dogs. Are you enjoying your time home? It will be nice to see you again when you return:)

VAnn~ Your trip will be wonderful...Boy, I get tired just reading about all your adventures. It would be nice to hook up, if only for a moment when your traveling through. I could just find out when your at the border crossing, go to Peace Arch Park and say hello while your waiting to cross :^) No doubt there will be a wait. The good thing about the wait is, it gives you time to take pictures and see PAP which is beautiful this time of year. If your coming through on Wed., Sat. or Sun. there is a wonderful little farmer's market off the Birch Bay Lynden road not far south of the border.

My DSinL and I went out today to see our friend's new Mexican restaurant. I can't wait for them to open, his food is authentic and wonderful! DSinL is helping getting the waitresses started. I might even have me a hostessing job. It would be fun for awhile. I'll have to learn a few Seniors and Senoritas....don't know yet, have to talk to DH. I will be going out to help with chair assembly. DF's DB has hand made all the chairs and all the word working. DF has designed and built the place. It's great!

Picking up DSinL in am from tire shop.....working on Pinata for Family Reunion this weekend. We're making a hotair balloon and a dodo-bird, in pink...our family colors are grey and pink. First year color was yellow....DH's father's wife hated yellow....she nor her family were wearing yellow....(wait! aren't WE, YOUR family....she meant HER kids????) anyway...I did suggest maybe we should all wear black with little yellow happy faces....Went with pink Aloha shirts last year for the Hawaiian theme and in support of BC Awareness. Decided since she didn't like yellow we would stick with pink! So pink flamingos, dodo-birds, pink chairs......and grey for whoever doesn't want to wear pink. Grey and pink are good together....We may even throw in some yellow for good measure.
Picking apples too, to take to other Auntie & helping her pick her beans. She can't get the high ones and DSinL is tall:) Better go get something done before bed. Like put up the zuccini.....maybe I'll make bread so it will be fresh when you all get up for your morning coffee...wait! What about chocolate zuccini cake? Yes, ChZC it will be.
Good Day to all!
PS...Blast that nasty heat you guys have! I won't complain when it's hot here any more.
Here's a pic of Mr. Duke
