I planned it already a long time ago to post this picture. It shows the the winding path of breeding. Goldrausch is a cross of Sommertraum (Summerdream) a white suaveolens look alike Multi x C. Grimaldi. Sommertraum itself is a cross of C. Grimaldi x suaveol. Rosa Traum (Pink Dream). Therefore Goldrausch is the result of a backcross from daughter (Sommertraum) to mother (C. Grimaldi). Out of 59 white suaveolens type seedling was Goldrausch the only colored hybrid with much versicolor influence. Goldrausch has only one fault; in halfshade, the flowers last almost a week. In bright sunlight maybe just two days. The size of the flowers range between 30 -38cm.
