I would have loved to have my whole acre of yard involved in the water garden with streams, waterfalls, several connecting ponds, bridges....I wanted it all. What I have is a lovely pond that I can sit on the coping around it and enjoy the fish, water fall and just pleasure of being near the water. Because of the Heron who choose to visit for dinner time, I have a net over the shallow parts held by the planters in the Spring, Summer and Fall of the year. It's not what I would like to see but at least my Koi are safe. I plan on making lower hyper-tufa planters (same color as the block) that are not so obtrusive for the coping. They will have grasses, foliage, and plants to make the pond look much better. |
