Baa wrote: This past 6 months have thrown up 3 plant surprises in the garden. First it was a proliferation on Calendula Greenheart, the Ranunculus ficaria has several new seedlings, 3 with quite stark leaf colouration and pattern. Today I spotted a seedling of Primula veris - Cowslip, with a brownish flower. None of these genetic variations are rare but they are unexpected. For 2 years I tried to grow Cowslips from seed. I gave up and bought a plant instead, in the past 4 years it's heirs have populated quite an area but this is the first brown I've seen in the group. Anybody else have any plant variations appear? |
