Hi Adina!

One of the things I love most about Dave's Garden is getting to discuss gardening with people living so far away from me!!! And you definitely qualify as someone gardening in a completely different place.. :-) I would love to see pictures of your garden if you have them to post!

Alfalfa tea is an organic product made just like tea to drink....except in a 5 gallon bucket of water and using alfalfa pellets &/or alfalfa meal as the "tea bag". It is a wonderful foliar spray for plants, giving them a big boost with many growth stimulating properties as well as a mild fertilizer. I use it on everything - my roses especially love the alfalfa!! Messenger is a new product here in the US, and is quite a break-through in plant care. It is not a fertilizer, but a protein that once mixed with water and sprayed on the foliage of a plant, stimulates the plants own immune system making the plant more vigorous, better able to resist bacterial and fungal diseases as well as insect attacks. It is truly amazing what using Messenger can do for a plant! It just isn't like anything else out on the market, and is the way of the future, I feel. I wish I could send you some so you could try it, but I bet sending little packets of powder to a different country isn't very well received these days....

April~~ Zone 9b has just a super long growing season doesn't it?? My father's family is from Texas and his Mom was an avid gardener.....she would talk about gardening 10 months of the year.....but those summers must be cookers!! LOL :-) I bet everything just stops growing actively and just settles in for a long, hot period..but your Fall season must be wonderful!

Kell~~ My morning walks around the garden is truly my favorite time of the day! Checking everything, seeing what new blooms are going to open that day, noting any plant that needs my attention that evening after work....just me, a cup of coffee, the birds and my plants....I just love that time of day!

Have a Great Father's Day......
Jamie
