They're super easy to grow and can take a full gamut of conditions, except maybe deeeeeeep dark shade where they'll get leggy. Our summers here get in the the 110-115º tems and I've seen them grown if full sun. We have no humidity here, it's as dry as a bone. So I can't say for sure how they'll do in NC. When they start getting taller or if they get leggy, pinch back and put the cuttings in your perlite tray just like you do your AV's. Dont let them dry out and you'll have new begonia-babies in about 4 weeks! (roots in 2-3, then pot them up!) One of my favorites is a double pink pom-pom type bloom. |
