Morning Glories: surprise results, 1 by gardener2005

I bought these seeds as "giant japanese morning glorys" then I could see when they came up they weren`t really giant but slender vines and leaves growing 6-8 feet given support and flowers 3-4 inches. I saw one purple spoked flower and an abundance of light pink spoked flowers and collected all the seeds I could find.

This year I got out my saved seeds fully expecting light pink flowers from18 plants going and None of them are pink. They are dark blue,light blue,dark purple and light purple with five spoked flowers. Some given best growth condition have grown over 6 feet.
