WOW Meiyu!! How are you?? I haven't talked to you since Susie visited. We MISS YOU! How is your garden going? I know you must be busy taking care of your Mom. I sure hope all is well for you.

Elva, I use size 5 gallon in the ground. I have several hundred too many down there. LOL

Oh Robin making crosses is so easy and so much fun. So make like a bee and buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I think everyone should try it. And if you like what brugs you get, you can name it after yourself or a loved one or even your dog, which is such fun too.

All you need are 2 different brugs. Just take the pollen laden anther of one and rub it on the stigma of the other. When I first did it I used my fingers and it took. I was so thrilled. I was harvesting pollen from a rarer brug for a brug friend on here, Glory, to send to her. I had no clue how and she was coaching me. When I was done I thought I will just try that myself, LOL and I did one and I must have had SUCCESS for I kept doing it. Now I use a kid's paintbrush I buy from KMart and I tag my crosses with plastic tags.

I figure bees do it so why can't I? LOL. So do not be afraid and just go for it. As soon as you get your brugs to flower start trying it. When you get a pod you will love it. And each seed will grow a different brug though some put out fairly similar looking ones.

Susie is the gal who taught me to pollinate and she made a thread that is so helpful.

Let us know how you do, Robin!!

I believe this picture I stole from here a long time ago is Jeanne's picture so I want to give her credit. I would ask her for sure but she is on a trip right now. It really helped me when I began.
