Think of it as a diminutive version of Q. shumardii, with finer leaves, smaller acorns, smaller overall size, and fantastic, long-lasting fall color. It should make a great yard tree for places with limited space. I already had planted it in a prominant place here even before he named it, because of its rich color and nice form, so I was thrilled when he chose that one.
