Spent all afternoon in the garden. It spit rain a bit, but was the best day we've seen in two weeks. The lawn mowers were going all over the place as it's been too wet to mow and everyone's grass was getting long.

I got several of my new hostas planted into the garden as well as a Heuchera (Lime Rickey) and an Astilbe. Also moved one, dug and divided three others and dug one that isn't doing well (see Revolution thread on Hosta forum).

I've posted pics of the new hostas which I have already on the Hosta Forum as well. Supposed to be cold tonight - 3 degrees (Celsius) with maybe some snow. On our traditional planting weekend. Oh brother. May have to cover up my tomatoes out on the patio or bring them in. But they aren't in a tray - just separate pots because it's been raining so much.

I had "Natural" lawn care for the last three years and my lawn is a mess! I can live with dandelions, but there's a whole host of other weeds that weren't there when we were looking after the lawn (and we generally did NOT use weed and feed). We ARE going to use it this year before the city decides to ban it's use.

DD#2 and BF arrived yesterday from Vancouver. DD#1, SIL and grandtwins all came over for dinner. Today, DD#@ and BF took the twins to the hershey chocolate factory in nearby Smith's Falls, ON.

I'm attaching a pic before I go back and read. This is from the handbell party last Thursday. One of my group brought the cake with a picture of our bells on it.
