When I was on a trip to Calif many years ago..I happened across a large plant of Brug Versicolor Alba in a botanical garden. In all my years of research on bruggies I had never even seen mention of it in all the literature available. I acquired a cutting and promptly sent plants to Logees and Native Habitat so the plant could be dispersed. Its a good thing we did reproduce them as the original plant was the only one that anyone knew of at the time. the plant was slated for removal at a later date, as the white brugs were not well taken at the garden. The flowers on this species can reach 24 inches in length and 9 inches wide.Nice typical Versicolor fragrance. It crosses well too.As a seed parent and pollen parent. This plant was 4 feet tall at the time I took the pic.Later that summer it had upwards of 200 flowers at a time open.
