Good morning morning glories!

It's another fine day in the neighbourhood. We had a most horrid weekend, wind, rain and cold, but Mother Nature is making up for it today, and hopefully the rest of the week.

We have birdies making nests, nesting and brooding chicks all over the property. I can hardly come home during the day now without getting scolded or dive bombed by one species or the other. I don't mind though, it's fascinating to see these little creatures work so hard and raise the new generation. We have a nest in the bird house just 15 feet from the front door of the sweetest little chickadees. Mama doesn't protest a bit when we sit and watch her and Papa bird come and go. I know she's still setting on the nest as I've used a dental mirror and pocket flashlight and looked down in the bird house and saw the eggs. I'll be excited to see the new hatchlings.

I have to take Mum to the podiatrist this afternoon for her every 3 months foot check and toenail clipping. Since she's diabetic and so elderly, I've gotten her on a schedule with the local podiatrist who treats her like gold. He always teases with her a bit and talks with her about the Mariner's and who's playing well and who needs to go back to the farm leagues. When he's done, he always gives her a wonderful foot massage with Eucerin cream. I really like this guy, he's very friendly and always so respectful towards her. BTW, Mum is a huge baseball fan, started watching baseball in her late 70's and gets quite animated when there is a game on TV. Her all time favourite was Joey Cora who played 2nd base when he was with the Mariner's. She said for a little man, he always gave his all and played with his heart. Now she's an Ichiro fan and wears her Ichiro hat ball cap when the game is on TV.

I hope to get some chores done today before I head into town. I did manage to get a shot of one of the hummingbirds at the feeder this morning. I'm amazed, with everything in bloom at the moment, the birds still hit up the feeder.
