vossner I have read that solomon's seal like dry shade. I have had one for a few years in the bed under the tree with hellebores, last year it had grown quite well but it takes time.

Kenton, what a tulip, no name? My red one seems to have got a huge cup but hasn't opened out.

Wow Pitimpinai! Monsella is a Spanish dancing lady, a Flamenco!

kb, Dierdre deserves a better name, I love green, that is really unusual!

I grew a pack of pasque flower seeds in 1998, got 9 plants which I grow on my north facing bank,. they like to be planted out when young so their roots can develop. I have all colours, white, ruby, purple, and a pinkish one which is getting a little deeper. I took some seed form the purple and red, had loads but only a few survived and I planted them out in my other beds. they are all red and the occasional white. They are growing well and starting to get some size on them.

I took this of a red recently, not quite as dark as the original which has been dug up by moles but is still doing OK. I also have some self sets on the bank.
