MaryE wrote: Good morning. I've been up to ....nothing yet, except cooking my hubby's breakfast. This is my going to town day, so that will take a good chunk out of the day. I need to see the chiropractor again, I'll call when his office is open and see if I can get in today. Last week I was having that feeling of my hip not wanting to stay in place a few times, but maybe it readjusted the right way when I was sleeping since it didn't feel like that yesterday. He says they do that sometimes. I hope so. But things are not good in other places so I still need the snap, crack, and pop treatment. My hands were partly numb and tingly this morning before I got up. When I changed position they woke up. Add a little back ache way down low and I know some things are still not lined up correctly, but closer than they were a couple of months ago. I'm hoping not to be supporting Dr. Crunch too much longer. Dcat, I'm glad to hear that your back is better. Be careful, take care of it. Sarv, you must really mean short short hair when the beautician doesn't like it. Most of the complaints I hear about haircuts is that when a person says they just want a trim they come out with about half the hair they wanted to keep, and are upset because they had to pay for what they didn't want. Are your swollen fingers any better today? did the headache go away with some coffee? Stacy, $60!! You buy some good plants, I hope they do well for you, and of course we expect to see pictures. Last evening my hubby got the riding mower going and mowed around the shop and outside of the yard fence. That always raises a lot of dust and throws a few rocks because there are no defining lines between the driveways and the grassy/weedy areas. I waited until the dust settled to go feed the horses. Over toward town there was a lot of really black clouds with showers hanging. I kept watching it but it went along the mountains on the other side of the valley and never made it over the dry hills between us and town. I thought we might get a shower from the edge of it. This morning we have puffy white clouds, blue sky, no wind, ahhhh. As for the edging in my yard, it gets done a little at a time as I reclaim the margins of the flower beds from the invading quackgrass we call a lawn, so it never gets done all at once. The ugly spots keep me humble...... It's officially spring now, we have a starling down our woodstove chimney! They like to nest in holes and this was a deep one! I can hear him scratching around in there but can't get him out until he gets down into the firebox. Then I close the blinds on the living room windows, open the front door, open the woodstove door and hope he flies in a straight line out into the great outdoors instead of making a turn and hitting windows, sometimes on the other end of the house, or the wall, making a sooty smudge. AmandaPanda kitty is sleeping on a footstool in the sun, and not helping me type this morning. I need to get dressed, feed the horses and water things in the greenhouse before I go to town. Yesterday 3 of the squash seeds I planted last week were up. I love it when the seeds come to life, provided they are flower or vegie seeds and not weeds. These were soaked overnight before planting and now the greenhouse is making them happy. They are in cell packs in a tray with a plastic lid. Here's the amaryllis that's blooming now. It was supposed to be something else according to the picture and name of the box, but is fancier than what that was and when I looked it up it would have cost me 2 or 3x as much, so it was a nice mistake. (I have to look at the full size picture to see if I posted the right one with the picotee edges. Otherwise it will be Apple Blossom.) Have a great day everyone, bye, see you later. ~~~~ |
