He has ten times the energy and 1 tenth the outlet for that energy. If you can find some (more or less) indestuctable chew toys, throw them out in the yard, and leave him outside more during the day, it might spread his focus (and energy) some. He loves you, but give him something else to love when you can't be with him even when you are at home. Darius - if you like the pork loin with rosemary, try the sweet potatoes with it - they are the best side dish ever! I'll post how I did them if anyone wants the recipe, I've been checking in here and there throughout the day, so, I don't remember all that everyone said. I do know that there were some that I would comment on if I could get it all together in my head! I will try to re-read and *maybe* I will get some of those comments posted! (Don't hold your breath!!) Today got a bit scattered when my DB called to see if we were home and could we stand a little company (he and our Mother). I said come on in, have you had lunch yet? He said no, but didn't want to come begging. Well, the day me 'mither' misses lunch will be a *long* way off, so I told them sandwiches were available. From there things turned into a fun filled afternoon! I took Mom on a tour of my little garden areas on the golf cart after lunch while DB and DH finished setting up the clock DB gave us. Ya'll may not believe this, but my brother found this clock on the side of the street for trash pick up!!! It is 4 feet wide and 7 feet tall! It has a beautiful Westminster chime and looks great in the front parlor. It isn't antique. It was built by some furniture company quite literally as a piece of furniture that just happens to tell time. I am the only one in the family that has a place for something that big - so I got it! It was a wonderful day even though I didn't get a lot done outside. Spending the afternoon with 'me mither' was the greatest Easter gift in the world. I see her a least once a week, but every day with her is a treasure. I am well aware that I don't have "forever" with her - she is 93 1/2, but she is still mentally sharp as a tack, and I have every intention of making the most of my time with her! I hope you *all* have had a beautiful day! ginni |
