I put them in a box and somewhere warm for 3 months or so. I check them every week or two to see if I need to add a spritz of water from a spray bottle....barely damp, almost dry is quite enough. After that they go into the fridge for another couple of months. This last batch was scaled in November and went into the fridge in January. I only had a couple out of about 25 or so that had no bulb visible...some had the beginnings of a nubbin and should continue to develop...I figure it is easier to keep them all together rather than have them in too many different stages/places. -----there are many online instructions available as well as here in the archives. I have learned a lot from all the friendly folks here....I don't use hormones. Not sure if they are needed. Good luck, Sue I would break a few scales off of each and plant the rest of the bulb....you never know, they may send up another stem....and they will be all set for next year in any case. |
