My Bishop's Children are only shallow too, they have been in the ground for over 3 years and don't get winter sun, but are quite hardy being offspring of Bishop of Llandaff. I hope this cold winter hasn't done them, they have been mulched once. I took some seed just in case.

Tulipa Stresa has such an interesting centre, and the red on the outside has intensified either with age or lack of sun.
