I put an acrylic primer on the surfaces. Put 2 coats white semi gloss on that. Ragged on 4 different colors, peaches, pinks etc. Put on 3 coats of acrylic clear coat over all that.

This was a temporary fix until we could get new counters. Temporary went into never. I freshened the counters once after 3 years when I went into the kitchen with my glasses on. No chips but a lot of skuff marks. You can see the back splash below the fake window there.
