Good morning early birds. I was up but didn't get a long sleep, went to bed late and got up early, so I snuck back in for a nap! Phone woke me up. Dcat, someone from DG and I can't recall who, went to the Paducah quilt show my first year here and posted the most beautiful photos of the quilts.

Elaine, I love those blooming onions at Outback. I can pretty well demolish one all by myself. Of course, then I have no room for steak, or anything else. Sounds like you are enjoying your guests, except for not being able to get into Coffee as often as you would like.

Oz, the tornado pictures you took were excellent, what a lot of damage! You were fortunate to only have it come near you. I am awed that the family survived it under a kitchen table, that also went missing. We get them here but Lake Michigan keeps them away from the shoreline, for some meteorlogical reason.

Sarv, take a spritzer bottle with you when you go for the mail, fill it with water and a little vinegar, and give those sassy pups a shot or two. I guarantee it won't hurt them but they won't like it and will stay away. I detest those little snappy (read untrained) dogs. Or maybe I should say, their owners who are too lazy to train them properly.

Sarv, I know what you mean by the rugs and wall hangings, using strips of cloth, hooked onto burlap or some kind of backing. My great aunt Celia used to do that, and there was always a half done project on a quilt frame in her living room. I guess they think today's crafter couldn't cut the strips uniformly which is the only reason you'd need a machine to cut them. Her rugs were beautiful, she used the different colorfabric to make a picture, rather than just varigated patterns. Now if only someone would tell us what they were called!!!

Sarv and Dcat. happy shopping. I'm going to drag DH over to the appliance joint and order the new dishwasher. One more part came yesterday.

Did you find the car keys, Dcat? When the workers were doing the siding on the new garage, DH had left one of his collector cars in front of the door opening, and they were going to saw the cementboard and asked me if I could move it! This is what I had to choose from....
Do I need to tell you I never found the right ones? I keep my keys in my purse, and DH keeps his daily driver keys on the coat rack. The garage door opener is for the car he stores at an apartment underground space he rents.

Yay, Woodspirit got her wish! As she should have! Who better to do that job?

Off to the shower...check in later to see what's up.
