My Momma lost her Momma when she was only 13 yrs old. So she didn't have a mamma much less me have a gran'ma. But I had an Aunt Dibby who lived like grandmas in stories did ... on a dairy farm with barn cats and one in-house long haired kitty. With haying and hayloft and cows to fetch and eggs to gather and peas to shell on the screened porch under the shade of the pines... and sleeping on a feather bed.. and playing with old cast iron toys on the attic stairs... had the experience yup I did.

And then when my kids were little my Mom did a great job of being grandma to my kids... if an unusual one - what with water fights in the house and sleigh riding down the nearby hill with them. Guess I be lucky lady.
