Finished my mending! Actually, I was putting extenders on a bunch of new bras, I never get a decent fit otherwise. All done. Tucked away and the rest of the day is mine.

Tgif, yes, that was a fun party. We had horseshoes, and croquet, and bocce ball, and jars for the kids to catch fireflies, lots of fun, no squabbles or tears. Great parents, and good kids made it so. I'm like you, if company is coming I go into hypercleaning mode and just go straight through until everything is spic and span. Other wise, I just ignore it. DH never complains either. Not like it would do him much good.

Dmcd, we rented a portapotty for the party. We had an ancient septic system with small capacity, and with lots of kids, beer, soda, and an overnight stay , we didn't trust it to hold up.

Suzie, I'm not squeamish but I don't think I'd like to watch staples being taken out either. He'll be happy when he has freedom of motion with the arm again. Don't expect it to slow him down though!

In the ongoing dishwasher repair debacle, all the parts for the repair to the dishwasher did not arrive as promised, so I had to call them this morning and cancel the service call. The robot I spoke to said the parts are back ordered until the end of the month, so why did another package come in this afternoon? It has a label that says there is an invoice inside, but yesterday's pkg said that too, and there wasn't one. So I will have to look at the list and see if they are all here and reschedule . GAaaaahhhhh!!

All the talk aout cleaning makes me think I should pull out the 'frig and the uprigoht freezer and see what the little beasties have flipped under there. Milk bottle rings, toy mice, twist ties, and miscellaneous writing instruments are the usual haul, but occasionally I find a surprise. A stray refrigerator magnet, a button or two, or some other small object that was attractive for a while and soon forgotten. Maybe I'll just stick Swiffer squares around a yardstick, and just swoosh underneath.

~~~ to Elaine, Maria, MaryE, Molly and I'm sure I've left out lots of folks, but you know I am alwlays talking to all of you and reading all the posts even if I don't mention you by name. Here's the view out to the deck, it's been coming down all day, not heavily just steady. Filled the feeders since all the ground is covered again, and have had lots of visitors flying in. Sammi is very interested.
Yes, Sarv, we want pictures. Glad you had a good time.
And Darius, nekkid photo of you, tsk tsk, you are wild, girl! Speaking of which, how come Mickey Mouse wears pants and Donald Duck doesn't? Good luck with your visit to your DS, seems like every other visit or so, she gets a bee in her bonnet about something.
