wallaby1 wrote: critter your Iris ret have bunched up well, they do seem to get patchy, some will grow well while others disappear for a while. It is still good to get them growing every year as they are supposed to be treated as an annual. My I reticulate near the south wall opened earlier, I now have some next to my host bed flowering, behind the crocus, and I am pleased to see them every year. Some of my Narcissus Jetfire seem to have disappeared and I blame the mole for that, but others are bunching up nicely and close on flowering. kb I have had some Dutch iris in the ground for a few years, and some of them return every year and get better, but don't flower every year, they are so pretty. Mine have foliage on now, they do grow that early. I would love to be able to ID your crocus but blues can be difficult! Steve where are all yours? We want more! kenton how is the poor Dracunculous? I am praying for it! I am often out at night with my digi camera, that's the best time for some pics, I have infrared and it takes perfect pictures. Others may not understand! 'Geranium has also been on my list for a while, perhaps this autumn. My latest I. reticulata, it has 4 flowers at the moment. I had put I. danfordiae in as well but they just peeped to the surface and disappeared! |
