And, yes, Cate, it was one bulb, but maybe with a few babies attached, when I dug it out of the ground. It came out of very clay soil and when I transplanted it from a smaller pot (which I had put it in because I knew I was moving) I used only bagged compost. Nothing else. It's had a couple of applications of Miracle Grow since Christmas and seems quite happy. OK, let me go measure.
