Well, back from church, had lunch, read the paper, fixed deviled eggs and Au Gratin potatoes to take to a pot luck tonight. DH opted to go to the Rehab hospital this morning, instead of church. This pot luck begins at 4:30, so was going to be a rush to go to the hospital after church, and get back for the pot luck. Men have it so easy, all they have to do is show up at a pot luck meal, and all they need to bring is an appetite.

Yesterday DH and 3 of his hunting/fishing buddies fried some rabbit. They have a weird menu but it's only them. DH was in charge of frying potatoes, and making corn bread. Well, he can do the potatoes, but I mixed up the corn bread for him. When he got back, he said they really liked the corn bread, and I told them I made it!! Yeah, he put it in a pan and baked it.

Sarv, do you mean to tell me the bride and groom were late and drunk by the time they got to their own wedding? Bet the parents footing the bill were livid. Talk about throwing money away. I read an article in a magazine several months ago saying weddings now cost $20,000-and up. Why the heck, if you got that kind of money, have a family only ceremony, and start to build a house?

keyi, hope by the time I post this that the plumber has your situation under control. My plumbing always fails on holidays, or when I have guests.

Briar Rose If you are interested, I can trace the pattern and mail it to you. You are right, once you get the idea, variations could be made. If I had a router and table saw, I still would be out of luck, cause I don't know how to use them. I would like to find a tech school, where I could take some basic courses in woodworking. The tshirt was ordered from one of those Lillian Vernon catalogue, or one like it. I think it was like $18.00. A neighbor has one that says "here fishy, fishy, fishy".
Talk about taking more taxes out, we even have extra taken out to try to avoid paying extra. Plus pay quarter estimated taxes. Don't know why we have to pay, but since DH stopped farming, don't get any deductions there. We used to have the tax preparer,look at our taxes before years end, then if it was going to be close, DH would purchase some machinery for the farm that would offset the difference. We have 2 rental properties, and lord knows we don't make much money on them. So when someone the other day said "the IRS" spells theirs when put together, didn't know how right that is.

dmc, you didn't ease into the horse hobby, sounds like you took a long running jump!! I would be scared to death to invest that much, and then maybe find out I didn't like it.

Ozarkian, around here they don't call it rustling, but it is still the same thing. Doesn't take too long to pull into a field and load a truck of cattle, and be gone.
