Years ago a friend told me I needed a dog. I didn't know if I was around enough to keep one 'happy'.
As I got older my 'wild & crazy' ways subsided and I figured it was time.
I grew up with dogs and cats but hadn't had one in 30 years. Sidekick Sarah is my second and I couldn't imagine this house without a dog.
Like the first, she was a rescue. The difference was I 'shopped around' the second time. I hit every shelter within 50 miles for weeks. The odd thing was, Sarah was one of the first dogs I had seen and she slowly grew on me.
So here I am with the best dog I ever had.
I should have named her Velcro. She sticks by my side, never jumps on furniture, absolutely house broken, generally quiet, clean, smart and tries hard to please.
Now I'm the one that's running off at the mouth, LOL.
Sorry if I didn't make her species clear at the onset.
