Might be a little difficult, Sammi's commandeered my lap, since we left him all aloooone (not) yesterday, he's glued himself to me. Yesterday when I walked into the bedroom, I flipped the wrong switch on the wall and turned on the ceililng fan. When I turned if off, the pull was swinging and he tried mightily to catch it! Went for the camera, of course. I'm not even going to try to address everyone individually, but am hoping that all the ailing feel better today. Winter colds are just plain awful and you deserve better . Oz, your fishing stories were so funny. I don't fish, but I do appreciate my BIL's donation of a few walleye. Are there warnings about mercury levels in your area? We hear it from our DNR all the time, but it hasn't seemed to slow down the fishermen, at all. We had sunshine for a while in Madison, but coming home we left it behind us, and had snow flurries for the rest of the day although not much accumulation. Today I'm driving with a friend to pick up a siamese that is waiting for her at a rescue home. Her boy is the same age as Oskar was, and she thought it would be good to get a companion for him (and her) and found a five year old sealpoint needing a home. She and my daughter were best friends in school, but they have drifted apart some, but she still keeps in touch with me. I enjoy her company so we get together for lunch or breakfast, occasionally. Molly I hope you get your fencing done, it's miserable working in the rain. Good for all your new plantings though! Mary, a lot of our neighbors have horses, and I often wonder about the expense of keeping them. Our neighbor just below us on the street to the west had two that he sold last year. I miss seeing them come out in the morning, they were always to happy to be out of the stable and would race around the paddock, playing and talking to each other. Next door to him is another property and I see about 8-10 older horses there, but that neighbor lives farther down the other road and I don't see him at all. I think he might be boarding them. Didn't spend much at the Garden Expo. I thought their prices were pretty high and the exhibitors who had day lilies and etc. for good prices were mobbed. I gotta tell ya, I was jonesing too, smelling all the greenery. One stand had hanging planters with full foliage, 3 for $15, or $10.99 if you just bought one. Almost fell for that until I thought about where to hang them, I'm out of windows with full light with what I have now. Resisted. I did liberate a few teeny little slips though.......and they are rooting as we speak. Those plants were way too bushy anyway.....LOL Sarv, I'd look for the root on that clematis too, being dormant right now may have saved it's life. Give DH a whack for me, that was just thoughtless, especially since you had already discussed how the trees were to come down. I haven't had enough coffee to address the rest of the gang, but I did catch up on what's going on. I think we are out for breakfast this morning, DH is still snoozing, but I'll check in later. This is one of the exhibitors who had beautiful copper and glass slip starters, Hard to see detail, but they were charming, and expensive. Later |
