There is so much going on with all of you, I can't keep up with all of the things I wanted to say to each of you, so I'l just say - prayers for all, for the good and the bad. I have continued my "January clean up" into February and I'm very pleased with all I have gotten done. My craft studio is neater than it has ever been, I have made two new tablecloth & napkin sets with several more progressing. But my house is a *mess*!!! The laundry monster thinks he is winning, but his time will be up tomorrow! The weather has been the usual up and down, and now the rain is moving in again, so indoor things are on the "to do" list for tomorrow, starting with laundry. Next on the list is to tend to the greenhouse. I have two orchids in bloom with three more in bud, and everything out there needs water at the very least! And the litter box (also in the greenhouse) needs cleaning. Mostly the cats go outside for that business (they have two pet doors), but with all the rainy days we've had, the box has had more use than usual. Right now, I'm enjoying a quiet break watching the birds. I keep trying to get a pic of all the birds feeding, but so far I have only been able to capture a few at a time. It isn't at all unusual to count at least a dozen Cardinals at a time plus quite a few other kinds. We refer to that area as the "red light district" because of the number of Cardinals we support! Right now, there are Doves, Sparrows, Goldfinch, Titmouses (Titmice?) and Juncos fighting it out with the Cardinals. I have learned when that many are feeding that avidly it means bad weather is on the way. (Snow is predicted for North MS, but we shouldn't get any here, just cold rain) |
