There's a funny email going around about how this person is thanking everyone for letting them know they shouldn't drink coke, take change out of pay phones, sit on a threatre seat without checking for needles, little lost children that are never found, use Proctor and Gamble products, it goes on and on and mentions all those scary stories that have no basis in truth. One of those things you wish you had saved and didn't. FC, as far as Ebay goes, most sellers are reliable, but you can always check their feedback and read notes from other buyers, and see how long they have been selling, and if there is negative feedback, think twice about the purchase. Read the auction carefully. Some will refund, most do not. I just bought something and got the wrong item, emailed the seller and he is paying postage for the return and sending the right thing. Some sellers do a very high volume so you might have to check back a ways if you see they've gotten bad feedback. Ebay shows a count of the good/bad feedback up to a year, I think. My waterbed sheets wouldn't fit over the corners of our king mattress, so I had to get all new sheets. Also, the sides didn't cover very well. I tried remodeling them...LOL..don't even bother!! It resulted in lots of bad language and a big donation. Watch the shipping charges, sheets are heavy and shipping might eat up the savings. The ones on Ebay look like a pretty good buybut I didn't check the shipping. Suzie, I have one set of the Martha Stewart Kmart sheets, 300 count, and I love them. They aren't sateen though, I don't like sateen, they get too wrinkly after the first night. Maybe it's just because DH sleeps llike he's wrestling an octopus, his side of the bed looks mangled in the morning. Darius, maybe DS is getting smart enough not to argue when she knows she can be dumped on the roadside? LOL Good that you had a nice visit this time...just don't get fooled again. Those doxies were sure cute. Someone in the subdivision next to us has a pair, and I see them when he walks them, they are just adorable. Carat, take a worklight with a real long cord with you! If all you have there is ceiling fixtures it won't help you see into closets, dark corners, etc and it will be handy when you get back there again later. And a stack of paper cups for drinking water! Dcat, I use a single edge razor to clean my enamel drip pans...then I put them in the dishwasher. I use it on the inside of the glass door of the oven too, the automatic cleaning process doesn't seem to get them very clean, so I clean them beforehand. DD has a ceramic top range, I like gas much better. Sarv, I used one of those redeye pens on photos just once. and it ruined the picture. Maybe I didn't do it right. Now all my photos are digital and I use the red eye function on the software from Kodak. Someone told me there is a cheaper version of Photoshop available, that gives you lots of fancy options for colorization etc. Gonna look into it. You might need a new digital camera too.....am I good at spending other people's money,?? You bet!! The anodized aluminum pans are not teflon but I'll have to google to see what the anodization process involves. I don't think it's a coating of any kind. And they are not stick proof by any means. But if you get any pan hot and then add your fat, food doesn't stick. It only sticks if you put your butter, oil or whatever in before the pan is hot. Caution: Don't eat that blueberry pie I put on the counter, it was just as bad as the first one!! Ewwww, pasty doughy crust, I thought Sara Lee could bake better than that! I scooped out all the filling on my slice and dumped ice cream on it. The blueberries were rubbery and tough. Never again. I must be a slow learner... Off to the shower. It's pretty quiet so Sammi must have collapsed for his morning nap after chasing the girls all over the house. They are getting semi-friendly. As you can see, we spare no expense for cat toys for him..... he absolutel y loves the tissue roll, he can bat it around, carry it in his mouth, bite holes in it...nothing but the best for our little demon!! |
