Just found time to fiddle around 'google-earth'. Tried to locate our area by the roads and have marked the approximate area of our house in a red circle. Desired resolution has not been given to our city [reasons not known]. The lake on the top left is the Kukkarahalli Lake . The greener 'oval-shaped' area north of the marked circle is the famous Mysore Palace premesis. Some part of the Mysore Race Course is also seen as a curve on the right hand side. Mysore has a lovely terrain. Greenery is diminishing, in the name of development! Then towards the east of our area is Mysore Zoo seen in a vast expanse of green, almost like a strip. But the Zoo does not cover the entire stretch. The darker area on the bottom right is the famous Chamundi Hill which makes such a lovely setting to the entire city. There are a couple of other lakes that are just out of the selected area of the picture.
