Am attaching a composite - a santa which I purchased half-price on boxing day one year and a polar bear - tree topping angel which friends gave us. (We have a lovely tree angel; so it just gets set out.) Working more or less clockwise around the composite - a quilted tree which I made in the mid-70's. - a ceramic tree which my mother had. Now I have a new table which displays it nicely. - our tree before lights and decorations. About 9 1/2 ft tall. - three Magi which I made for christmas 1971 out of paper maché and stiffened fabric - an angel made - 1972 or 1973. Cardboard, paper maché, twine and paint. Flies high on one wall. - a wooden choir made in Seiffen - former East Germany - a treasure from a Christmas spent in Germany in 1976 - a still incomplete Hummel nativity. Someday maybe I'll get the missing pieces - a Santa riding a polar bear. My husband has spent his career studying ice and that had included trips into the Arctic. Many polar bear art pieces around our house. Had to play a concert today and was at a friend's for dinner this evening. Might get the tree decorated tomorrow if we're lucky. Ann |
