Allison_FL wrote: A wasp plant is an African violet with the special wasp flower. Most have bustled leaves , at least the older variety once they get older. In a search on FC about 50 wasp plant come up , but there are way more than this and new ones being Hybridized each day. The older Vintage Wasp by " Dates" grow and bloom best and most have the bustled leaves. New plants using the "Dates" parents give the best new Wasp Plants. Here is pretty one by A. Date named Spootnik it's from 1964 . It has a single pink wasp. Wasp plant can be very hard to get . This was one I got a couple leaves in my first trade going on a few years ago when I did not know what a wasp was and I did not know the value and rareness of these leaves and I lost them. I really had no idea what they were :(( |
