well I finally got it done
It still needs some touch ups and I'm waiting to see how the cement holds up to the weather extreams this winter
All in all I'm happy with it
I went simple instead of complicated
I used the Fiberglass re enforced cemet
the stuff with all the fibers in it
Just smeared it on
yes ,when putting it on a lot fell off so I found if I put a thin coat on,let it dry and the add more layers ,it worked great
I used the concrete dyes you add to the water
By mixing some together I got better color combo's
And I used the black to highlight the contours
Also,you cant see in the pictures,but when I started the carving process I dug (or carved,cut)holes in the top in places ,large enough to large put pots of plants in them,so it will look like the plants are growing out of the rocks.I made the hole's big enough to put the whole plant,pot and all ,in it and deep enough so the pot doesent show
