I never pruned the plants. Thery're small yet and most have some tip die back in winter due to the lack of sunlight and the high humidity. So, always next Spring they start with less size than they finish the Summer. It's like a self-pruning. And the growing season is very short here. No more than 4-5 months.
Only the seedlings are getting bigger, near 1 meter high but I have to wait until they bloom for the first time to prune them to get some wood to share with friends.
This a picture of how the balcony was at the beginning of October. No more blooms since then ... and no sun, just rain, snow or fog.
