Hi people,

Everyone's been busy as usual and there's no way I can really catch up on the last two days of posts!

Hi bk, nice to meet you.

Ditto to everyone's Xmas shopping woes. You'll never catch me at a mall the day after Thanksgiving either. I can't imagine why they all flock there like that. On the other hand, I'm a small time merchant myself, and I can tell you that without this shopping season at least 95% of us would be out of business. December is about the only time I actually make a profit--- and it has to carry me over for the whole next year.

We DO have to go shopping today --- have to buy that turkey and assorted groceries, wine, etc. We're planning on having lunch first at our favorite Indian restaurant. It's always better to go into the grocery store full (not hungry) as much fewer extra stuff finds its way into the shopping cart.

Babs, loved the stained glass. I've always wanted to try doing that but am put off by the cutting, breaking part. I just don't trust myself to get it right. We used to stay at an inn that had loads of gorgeous antique stained glass everywhere. The new owners have made a mess of the place though and I can't stand to see it in its reduce glory.

Saturday's craft fair was okay but not great. The economy around here is not good and everyone's sales are down. It was still just about worth getting up at 5 AM though.

Hurray, I've finished SIL's Xmas gift! Now I don't have to have those waking nightmares about working on the thing at 11:30 on Dec. 24th and making an irrevocable mistake! I'll post a picture so you'll see what I've been talking about.

Sarv, I don't know how you manage to get all that painting done with the arm problems you've been having. More power to you!

Molly, glad to hear that you're so close to getting re-settled. I think you'll be much happier there. No landlords to contend with, for one thing. I envy you the space too and the uncrowded neighborhood. We've only got close to one acre here and have neighbors on all sides. The only time this yard seems too big instead of too small is when we're trying to contend with all the leaves that come down.

I know that I've missed plenty of people. Sorry! I've really got to get a move on though ---lots to do before Thursday gets here.

Here's the picture of the deerskin vest.
